Mother Of Pearl Clip-on Earrings?

I am in desperate need of information if anyone knows how to convert dangly earrings to clip on ones. I'm getting married in 9 days and just found out that two of my younger attendants do not have pierced ears. Does ANYONE know of any stores in the Brampton/Mississauga area that might either do that for me or can suggest a kraft type item that I can purchase to do it myself? I was told by a jeweler that it would cost approx 100 per pair to get it done by a laser welder, any other heat would tarnish the mother of pearl stone.

Can you make pearl earrings from a pearl bracelett? ?

My husband got me pearl earrings and a pearl bracelet for my first mother's day. One of the earrings went down the drain in the shower... and I was wondering if when I get my bracelet restrung (it's a little too big) if they could make me an earring from one of the pearls. I know there's a hole in the middle... but I thought perhaps they could work around it. Thanks!

Yeah I'm sure they would be able to do something. You'd have to get the backing and everything obviously and there may be a hole that could be filled, but it's probably not a problem... I know you can also buy single pearl earrings for like $50 CAD, which may almost be worth it if the backing and labor will cost anywhere near that.

cleaning silver earrings?

i was given a pair of beautiful silver earrings with mother of pearl in them. after a while, they became lost. when i finally found them, they were, of course, tarnished. the tarnish is not that bad, but i am afraid to use cleaner on them because i think the mother of pearl may be too delicate. any suggestions?

The cleaner wont damage the pearl. Use a q-tip and clean just the silver. If you want, wash the pearl if a little gets on it, but it should be fine. Just be careful.
