Rockingham County Issues Silver Alert For Missing Woman WFMY News 2
Ruffin, NC -- Rockingham County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a missing woman.
Deputies issued a Silver Alert for 30-year-old Lauren Anderson who was reported missing just after 8:00 pm Saturday.
Anderson suffers from disorders, including paranoia. Her parents say her condition normally requires her to stay at home with supervision.
She has been unable to drive recently, but was reported to have taken her mother's 1996 Ford Taurus and leave home.
Anderson's family says this behavior is out of character and they are extremely concerned for her safety.
Anderson is described as a white female standing around 5'7", weighing 230 pounds. She has blue eyes, brown hair and a light complexion. She is believed to be wearing a navy blue jacket, black suede lace up shoes, green sweat pants, small earrings and numerous rings on her fingers. Anderson also wears glasses.
Anderson is driving a dark purple 1996 Ford Taurus with NC registration SSY-7166.
She is considered a missing and endangered adult, which mandates a Silver Alert. If anyone has seen Lauren Anderson, please call Rockingham County Sheriff's Office at 634-3232 or simply call 911.
