Necklaces: Bronze vs Gold?

There's a piece of jewelry I like, and it comes in both bronze and gold. The price difference between these two is only about $20 ($250 vs $230). Personally, I like the way the bronze piece looks a bit more than the gold, especially since it isn't a fancy-type jewelry. It's more indie or expressive.
What I was wondering is whether bronze is a bad quality of metal to get in jewelry or not, and if I should stick with the gold. I'm afraid that if I buy the bronze, it will tarnish quick and leave marks on my skin, as copper and cheap silver often do.

Edit: The jewelry is solid bronze, but the gold one is solid bronze and gold plated.
Sorry, this is my first time asking a question on here. So sloppy.

That price difference doesn't make sense since gold is much more expensive than bronze.

Bronze is an alloy of tin, copper and other metals.

Gold is mixed with other metals to create jewelry - 24 carat is all gold, 12 carat is 50% gold and 50% other metals.

I would recommend gold over bronze, but in this case, I would investigate a little more to be sure what the piece is made of.

I have a necklace that means a lot to me. It isn't made out of the best material in the world, and it's starting to "bronze." I mean that the bronze under the metal is starting to show. You can't really see it, but I know that it's only going to get worse. I feel that maybe I should replace (which I could do easily) but the necklace is close to me. What should I do?
Please ignore the two question marks. I hate when Y!A does that...

Take it to a jeweler and ask what they recommend. It's hard when something meaningful to you starts to "whither".
