Trust me, most of these "tween dream" bands make more money off of merchandising than their concerts and cd sales combined. You can be sure that there will be a vast array of merchandise, grossly overpriced, readily available for the screaming throngs. I was in a Walmart a few weeks ago and they had a whole area devoted JUST to Hannah Montana stuff. Any possible item you could think of with her image on it, and that area was jammed with eager buyers. Usually, with real rock bands there will be t-shirts and maybe hats, but with any "teen sensation" band or singer, they're going to merchandise them for every cent they can get while they're still the flavor of the month.

How do I care for pewter?

I've got a pewter cross necklace and I'm not sure how to care for it. Any ideas on how to wash it and stuff? Thanks!

Unlike silver, pewter doesn't tarnish, so you will not need to clean it all that often.

There are generally three different types of finishes you will find in pewter items and each has a preferred method of cleaning.

Pewter Necklaces with Character

Where to find a unique pewter pendant necklace? Well, I can help you out there! I was surfing around, minding my own business last week, when I came on a sight that may eventually make me broke! Just kidding, the prices are great, and I thought I’d pick up quite a few of these and have them on hand for when a surprise birthday party comes my way. I like to prepare ahead of time. And where can you find an attractive pewter brooch? I’d recommend this same site, of course. They have a number of great looking pins and brooches in pewter as well as sterling silver, enamel and gold. But I’m a big fan of this metal, both for the fact that it is lead free (at this site, anyway) and because it is such an economical thing to make earrings, necklaces and other jewelry from. I don’t know if this will always be the case. Prices all seem to be going up. And with the economy kind of unstable, I like to have plenty of beautiful and affordable accessories on hand for the near future. Some hoard food, I hoard jewelry!
